Would I be able to get in Brampton with these grades
English lit == 9
English language == 9
Comb sci == 9,9
Maths == 7
Religious studies = 7
Citizenship = 8
Arabic = 2
Comp sci = 6
History = 8
I wanna study Maths, Bio, Chem, Sociology
Brampton Manor website says:

The minimum qualification for entry into the Sixth Form at the School is: Grade 7 or higher in all subjects they intend to study at AS level; A grade point average (GPA) of at least 6.5 across all GCSEs studied (minimum 8 GCSE qualifications). A minimum of a grade 5 in English Language and Mathematics, regardless of the subjects studied at AS level.

I'm not entirely sure how this would work with you doing combined science and wanting to study biology and chemistry, so you may have to contact them to ask. Your minimum grade in English and Maths is fine, and your grade average would be 7.4, unfortunately lowered quite significantly just by Arabic, but still above the minimum required.

If it's a very competitive entry, you might not be guaranteed a place, i don't know, but you seem to meet the minimum requirements (just ask about the combined science).

as someone who goes to brampton, let me just keep it real with you. Most people that get into maths and the science have 9s in their subjects (even thought it says you need minimum 7), and doing maths is a requirement to do science subjects so if you get a 7 in maths, it might make it very unlikely that you get in because of how competitive the school is. There will be people with mostly 9s if not all 9s

You need to check he over-subscription rules ie if too many reach the required grades how do they choose.

The policy MUST be on their website ... check what it says.

It honestly depends on how other people do because they tend to prioritise people with higher grades and gpas so if someone else gets a 9 and has a GPA over 8.5 they would technically have a higher chance of getting a space but you still have a chance. Don't be discouraged! Results day is still some time away so you never know what can happen!

yeah tysm, ive been very nervous for the past few weeks as i put in a lot of effort for maths but just fumbled in the exam, i hope i do get a 9. But im confident for my other subjects so if brampton looks at other subjects (gpa) then i have a better chance.
ty have a nice rest of ur day :smile:
