has anyone had their council interview yet? how did it go?

I've had one. I think it went alright, I was quite nervous in the build up to it but they are there to get the best out of you.

Good to stay calm, confident and show your passion. Its okay to ask questions to be repeated or to take a moment to think.

Try to read up on some local policies or projects so you can name drop things.

I've had one too, and felt like I did fairly well. Slightly nervous at the start but settled into it. None of the questions were too tricky, finger's crossed for June!

For anyone with an interview at ealing council just wondering if we know if the interview will be an all day thing like at other councils or a single 45 minute slot? They didn't give much info ha ha

They said to me it's just an interview and it'll last up to an hour, hope that helps 🙂

Is it really so that it’ll take until the 7th June for results to be released?

My council only had 7 interviews, surely it doesn’t take nearly a month to decide?

I think the councils have decided who they want but have to send it of to LGA and I think its up to the LGA to release it, probably when all interviews are done

A friend of mine said her council gave the date of June 25th ! (Think it was London RBKC)

How do you know there was 7 interviewees did you ask the council? I want to know how many people they are interviewing for mine but I don’t know if it’s appropriate to ask

hi i had one that was just a one hour interview! mine was very relaxed, to the point where i finished super early (don't know how to interpret that lol). while i was very stressed and it was still stressful, they are not trying to trip you up and getting to this stage is proof that you will do great

This is really reassuring thank you! I feel so anxious about mine especially because it’s a 4 person panel and stressing at about who I look at while I’m answering questions 😂

they split the questions between the panel members in my interview! most of my attention was directed on the individual who asked the question, occasionally addressing everyone every so often.
