I did - but I requested it as soon as I received the result

Thanks, so did I, but not to be. I’ll leave it for now, out of interest, did you find your feedback useful or generic?

Will the council let us know that they got into contact with our referee? I have mentioned it to my referee but I would like to inform them as soon as the reference request has been sent out but I am not sure when the council will be doing that?

It was specific which was useful and I could definitely draw some things from it but I did find it a bit contradictory - ie saying the positives specific to one of my answers but then also using that same example answer in the ‘to improve’ section. I guess sometimes there are just better suited candidates and they have to put something on the feedback!

Ha, mine was similar. One or two useful comments, but also contradictory remarks.

For those of you doing the second round of interviews, I noticed that the council information hub has updated. Idk if it’s a comprehensive list or if you’ve received more information yet - but I wanted to pass on that there has been an update on the councils.

second round interviews are out

Only one london borough... great. What a waste of a whole year's application process

Any ideas why council's that were in the first round are also in the second round? Have they opened up another slot, or had multiple people pull out?

I presume they haven’t filled all their spots. Might be because people had other offers, rejected their’s etc.

Officially got my contract and start date today!😁 For anyone who’s nervous about not having heard from their council yet: just a bit of reassurance that I’ve only just been sent my contract today but had my offer back in April and completed my pre-employment checks over a month ago! So don’t worry if you haven’t heard back just yet, the process can take a while! Hope everyone hears back soon!☺️

Hi, thanks for sharing! just curious that do you know how long your pre-employment checks take?

Curious that a lot of the 2nd round councils were only recruiting 1 person in the first round. Also still waiting on feedback from both my councils, it's going to be a tight squeeze to prepare! Are people choosing all councils as options or still being specific?

I only chose london due to my connections and history there. It seems the right choice although a lot of people will do that too, but knew it couldn’t hurt to try

It may be different for everyone, but mine took 5 weeks to go through!

I'm not sure, I had wanted to change mine but was waiting for them to get in touch first...
My council called me to confirm my references and I was able to get it changed. But I wanted to know if they’d let me know when they email my refrees or if they just do it without telling us

I think generally businesses collect references and do it in their own time, so possibly just wait for next steps as I don't think they'll contact you again about references.

oh that’s a pretty long process! cheers for the info!

I’ve received feedback from my council even though they gave me an offer. They said that every council should provide feedback now without you directly asking for it. Hope that those of you waiting to receive yours get it soon 🤞🏻
