Not given a new accommodation by UCL

So I rejected UCLs studio offer because the rent higher then my loan. Plus I said I didn't want anything beyond £300. But now they refuse to give me any sort of new accommodation. Is there anything I can do?
Contact the accommodation team directly and ask them is probably the best approach.

I've heard that there's not enough UCL accommodation even for all first years so they may simply not offer further accommodation to people who have declined the limited accommodation available.

You may need to look at e.g. intercollegiate halls or private student halls in the meantime. Or private rentals otherwise.

I believe the policy from UCL Accommodation has always been to accept the allocation and then look for a room swap. UCL Accommodation will not allocate again.
Look at the intercollegiate halls.

Look at the intercollegiate halls.

Which ones? The ones managed by UoL? Aren't these fully contracted out to the London universities?

Or do you mean the private student accommodations, the likes of IQ Bloomsbury, Scape Bloomsbury etc? By this time of the year (where existing students have re-contracted for Sep'24), the ensuite rooms would have been fully taken up, leaving only the studios left. They are about £600 a week.

I was thinking UOL and just about all rooms are allocated to the London universities, however, they have one option that any London student can apply to.

Scrap that idea, Eleanor Rosa House is full. So I guess the OP will have to consider private accommodation.
