A levels results day and clearing

Hi, I applied for an Mpharm course at univeristy for 2024 entry. I applied at the University of Leicester and on UCAS it says this course is available in clearing. Does that mean that I would be less likely to get rejected from this university or I would be able to reapply to the course via clearing instead? I'm not really sure how clearing works, so any advice would be appreciated

It doesnt mean that if you miss your offer they will automatically still accept you. It could just mean that they haven't made enough offers or got enough Firm choices to guarantee filling the course and/or they are trying to pick up late applications from IB and International applicants who have already got their results.

If you are rejected on Results Day - thats it. They have made their decision and its final, and no they wont accept your application for Pharm through Clearing because you clearly dont have the grades they want for that course.

Hi there,

I understand that this process can be challenging, but we're here to support you!

Since the course is available in clearing this means there are still spots open. This gives you a chance to apply if you meet the entry requirements. You can reapply via Clearing by checking the course details, contacting our Clearing hotline with your UCAS ID and grades, and adding the course as your Clearing choice on UCAS if you receive an offer.

Acting quickly and being prepared will increase your chances of securing a place.

Feel free to reach out if you need any more help!
