Grades for university - University of Birmingham

I do maths, chemistry and biology at A-levels. I got an offer from University of Birmingham to study Chemical Engineering, my offer is AAB in which the A has to be in maths and chemistry, however I don't think I got an A in Maths. Do you think they could let me in if I get an A in Biology instead of maths?

Its possible - Chem Eng isnt mega-competitive - but no one can tell you for sure ahead of Results Day.
Try not to worry.

Well done, obviously know one knows what they will let in this year but Uni numbers on average are low you will likely get in with ABB

If they said they want an A in maths, even when they are giving some flexibility, then looks like it's a hard requirement.

They wouldn't want to set you up to fail later on in the course.

Of course, we won't know until results day.

These 'stats' are totally misleading - its an average, its from last year, and it includes those who were accepted on lower grades because of mitigating circumstances, contextual offers, 'special schemes' etc. It does not mean that 'everybody who gets these grades' this year will automatically be accepted.
