I've been to civil court to support a friend
Yes, several times to Magistrates Courts, as an officer in the Armed Forces accompanying airmen who were accused of various driving offences.

Was 2 days away from going to court as the victim of an assault, but the accused suddenly decided to plead guilty before the trial.

I got called for jury service a few years ago, and arrived on the day to find that I had been put on reserve and I didn't need to be there. The email never arrived, not even in spam.

It was a lucky escape though, my working day would have been 4am to 8pm if I hadn't gone because of my commute.

While I have never been taken to court for a crime, I may be in court within the next few years whilst my mother and I sue somebody, but that's a different story.

Nope. My current uni were dead scared that I would try and take them to court between 2018-2020 though, over their failure to adhere to the Equality Act 2010 in matters regarding me. So they paid me a four-figure settlement sum to avoid things going to court!

Just to be a witness but the case got cancelled.

I think I'm the only one who actually appeared in court and isn't just saying 'well yeah I walked past it' 😅

Hundreds of times, mostly taking notes for the lawyers.
County courts, crown courts, court of session, high court, justice of the peace courts, magistrates courts, sheriffs court.
