Mitazapine

Dear Student Room Friends,

I have been on Mitazapine for two weeks. I have extreme fatigue, oversleep, when I am awake I feel like I am super drowsy and have brain fog, can't concentrate and I just can't see the benefits of this stupid medication.

Please can someone tell me what I should do.

Have you asked your doctor for an alternative?
Doesn’t sound like it’s for you, had the same that one and on most anti depressants until one improved everything.

Which one improved everything, out of interest?
Fluoxetine at 60mg but only worked for a short period. The original Anxiety and depression diagnosis wasn’t correct. So still trialing the new medication with fluoxetine to get it working but it works everyday now and at least I’m not stuck in that awful place.

I have to say though I did read a few psychiatry books, a lot on health and nutrition, sleep, exercise, mindfulness keeping a positive mind set is important, anyone has type power to drag themselves down.
I find keeping busy on interests if you can, as a distraction in this time, just things that going to be beneficial. Say learning do a small task that you’ve not done before.

No I haven't because I struggle to speak to my doctor because and I am afraid that I look like a complete liar and a bigger for more drugs which is absolutely not the case at all.

Nah you got to do what's right for you. I doesn't matter what the doctor thinks.
