How should I go about studying during the summer holidays as a Year 12 to Year 13??

ok, so my summer holiday started today as i'm writing this, then I have summer school from 22nd - 26th July, then i'm pretty much free until like early september
I have transition work to do and then I have to revise during the summer in order to keep the year 1 content fresh in my mind and also learn a bit of year 2 content as well to be ahead of the game
I'm not sure how to go about this, like i'm not sure how to split up my time for my subjects (maths, physics and econ) to revise, do transition work and also learn a bit of yea 2 content
like, should I start transition work straight away and get it out of the way so I can have more time to revise, or should I incoporate the transition work into my revision, like i'm just lost rn

any help would be really appreciated

maths and econ you can definitely revise for now. y2 econ includes so much y1 you dont really ever need to go back on it, other than short answer questions ( i did edexcel economics). for maths i would definitely advise doing every past paper ( maybe one every few days) you can and watching walkthroughs for questions you dont get. you will soon see repetition and be able to answer them. let me know if i can help on specific topics:smile:

thx bro, I'm doing edexcel econ as well. What I had done for the past few weeks is make some notes for some of year 2 econ, so I was thinking if it would be beneficial to first recap over all of theme 1 and 2, then revise what I have already covered for year 2 so far, as well as make a few more notes for some of the other year 2 stuff, do you think that's a decent plan??

definitely go over theme 3 and theme 4 before 1 and 2. i would do all the expert tuition questions on theme 3 and 4 and only the short answer questions for one and two. if you don’t understand a specific topic let me know🙂 there isnt a lot if time to go over theme 1 and 2 when youve finished theme 3 and 4 content but if you get it over now you’ll definitely be able to brush up and leave no stone unturned and have a chance of getting a higher grade. having done most the questions and past papers, they are very theme 3 and 4 focused

Just use Bicen Maths to cover Y13 Content for Maths making notes and practice questions when possible but its not a crazy necessity, saves you a year of note taking. This method got me from a B in Y12 to A* achieved in Y13.
