Fast Stream Government policy vs tax at a big 4

Hi all, I’ve recently received an offer from a big 4 but had already started onboarding for the government policy fast stream, gotten my first placement etc. I was very interested in working in government and public service and my first placement seems really interesting but now I’m not sure whether to stay (family think Im mental if I turn down the big 4), does anyone here have any advice? Some specific questions:
1 - Are working conditions and the FS experience really as bad as some people online make it out?
2 - Have people who left the CS for private sector after finishing FS found it easy to get a similar level job, or is the stuff about the civil service being a really good place to learn management all guff?
3 - If I did the big 4 job and wanted to join the CS later would I be able to work in eg policy, HoP, FCDO etc or would I basically be limited to accounting/financial stuff?
4 - If I quit the FS before starting can I reapply later? Couldn’t find an answer and dont want to ask the onboarding team just in case.
