At Coventry, the calculation can vary according to:
1. the year and month you enrolled on the course, and
2. which degree course it is (strange as that may seem).

Answer both of the above questions for the most accurate answer.

For most courses where students enrolled between August 2022 and July 2022 (which I think will include you) they calculate your overall percentage in three different ways and then take the best result. If the best result (when rounded) is 70% or above, then your honours degree is classified as first class.

Note that the below talks about levels. For a full time student on a standard three-year course, Level 4 is Year 1, Level 5 is Year 2, and Level 6 is Year 3. Hopefully you, as a part-time student, know which level you're doing at any particular time.

Anyway, here are the three different calculations they use (and take the best).
"i) the average mark of the 100 credits worth of modules with the highest mark at level 6 or above.
ii) the average mark of the 220 credits worth of modules with the highest mark at level 5 and above (to include a maximum of 120 credits at level 5).
iii) the average marks of the 300 credits worth of modules with the highest mark at level 4 and above (to include a maximum of 120 credits at each of levels 4 and 5)."
