How many video games is too many?

How many video games do you own? How many would you consider to be too many? I have 72 digital games on the Xbox Series S, bought at discounted prices from £3.50 through to £19.99. l probably spend about £10 per game on average. I only buy games under £20 as a rule (unless there is a multipack of 2-3 games included, for which l put a limit of £30) and l always do a background check on them via YouTube videos to see if they are worth getting. I don't plan to get more than 2-3 in the near future, as l have probably reached a plateau in terms of the availability of games under £20 that l can see myself playing.

When the Xbox digital game sales are on, l tend to go in all out to buy good games on the cheap. I prefer owning games to using Game Pass, although the latter is useful for testing out really expensive games that have recently come out.

I'm up at about 300 games across the various PC clients, but they're almost entirely games that I've bought and then played or got for free for if I somehow run out of other stuff.

There's no problems amassing thousands of games, as long as you're getting your money's worth out of them. It's when you start buying games, no matter how cheap, but never ever get round to playing them that it becomes an issue.
Considering all my platform games and the ones for my consoles and gameboys, there must be over seventy in my collection. Considering the games for mini consoles, there are over hundred.

I haven't touched most of the games l have bought, but it is a long-term investment. I own the games forever, and can play them over the next few years. More games will come that l would want to buy later, but rather than splashing out on more games l will add those to my wanted list and buy them on sale when they are around 70-90% down from their entry price.

Just remember it's only a long term investment if you actually end up playing them. There's no point buying 50 games at £2 if you just gravitate to another round of Fortnight or starting your 100th Skyrim play-through!

I don't usually play just one game for days on end. I usually play at least 2-3 games at a time, here and there. I only buy the big games like Far Cry, COD, NFS, Forza etc., and at massively discounted prices.

There’s no set number of video games that’s too many but having too many games can overwhelm you and make it hard to enjoy any of them fully. I used to jump between different games, but it became difficult to focus and get the most out of each one. Lately, I’ve simplified things and recently I play only https://www.mrspinslots.com which is perfect for quick, fun sessions. It’s all about finding what works for you.

When the summer sales are on for digital games for the Xbox, it becomes very appealing to take advantage of the price discounts, which can be as much as 80-90% off for some top games, although more typically discounts are in the 20-66% off region. There are just too many good or ok games being developed these days, which can feel overwhelming. I don't think l will change my approach much. I will continue to buy 10-15 new digital games for the Xbox on massive discounts from summer sales each year

I once thought to have too many games with over 50 in number. Threads like this one taught me better: 100 are not enough.

Prior to digital games, l doubt l would get past 50 games. Now it is a certainty.

Once people had fun to play games, they can't get enough. I was so addicted.

One hour a day is enough.

Not for my younger me. It played five hours a day or more.
