Submitted place holder as actual unit grade

I have recently completed a level 3 extended diploma in btec which the grade calculator says that my overall grade will be D*DD but when they were sent off I had accidently left one of the units as two empty word documents while I was working on other units.
This unit is an optional unit an is worth 60 GLH and according to the grade calculator without it I would still get a D*DD. Will pearson just mark that unit as a U

When you say, "when they were sent off I had accidently left one of the units as two empty word documents while I was working on other units". Are you saying when you sent your coursework to your school / college you accidentally sent them two empty documents? Did they not notice?

It is your school / college which marks BTEC coursework - not Pearson. So you school / college which have given you a U if they didn't bother to contact you and ask for the correct documents.
