Patch test
Hi, I’m 20 now for reference.
A few years ago, I test patched a hair dye on my arm and within a few hours there was a reaction there. My mum is severely allergic to hair dye btw.
I jusr had my hair bleached and that’s been fine. I went to a salon last week and got a patch test for a lash lift and eyebrow tint. The patch behind my ear was itchy for about half an hour or so but no redness or swelling at all. It’s been 48hrs, and apart from my skin being stained from the dye, I’ve had no redness or swelling, I’m meant to be getting the treatments done tomorrow but I’m just nervous as surely if I’m allergic to hair dye then I should have reacted to this?
Any advice?

Diffrent dyes have different active components. You can be allergic to one but not the other.

That’s true, I’m just not sure whether the initial itching is anything to worry about @Kathy89

I would not risk with that.
