Going over course time

Currently in the last year of a part time online MSci. Started in Sep 2021, and was advised that I must finish the course within 3 years otherwise I could possibly have an overpayment reclaimed.

I'm currently working on my dissertation, and originally chose an 8-month deadline so as to finish in Sep 2024 and reach the 3 year deadline. It's now looking like I might need to go for the 12-month deadline instead, which would take me 4 months over the three years.

If this happens, what will the overpayment look like? Will I be charged for the full course, just the latest installment, something else?
Hi spttsn,

You would be best asking the university if they are charging fees for the additional time you will be attending the course. If they are, you can apply for funding for a repeat year however the university may need to send a Change of Circumstances through to us electronically to confirm the duration you will be attending the part year repeat.

Thanks, Clare
