Narrowly missed Durham offer 👎

Hi there! I took the IB and have missed my offer from Durham by a point (they wanted a 6 in HL English and I got a 5). Have heard through friends of a couple of cases where people were in the same boat as me last year and the uni let them in regardless as they very narrowly missed their offers. Durham has yet to reject/accept or put me on hold on UCAS. Upon calling Durham admissions I was told that any one of those things could happen and I may have to wait until A levels come in in August to find out. Wondering if anyone has advise on anything else I should be doing (have requested a remark in English already and waiting to hear back) or is in the same situation? Thank you!!
