Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear that you're currently struggling mentally and I can try my best to give you advice that has worked out for me before. I too have struggled when I had nothing going on in my life and I wasn't active in going out and exercising and what I found that helped me the most was socialising and exercise. Do you have any sports you're interested in? I found that going for walks in nature as well as playing football helped my mental health massively. It would help if you tried to find social clubs for the sports you're interested in. If you're not interested in sports, try find out a passion or hobby of yours and explore it further. It would help if you kept your mind active and keep yourself entertained. I also recommend speaking to a counsellor or a therapist who would help you much more than I can. I hope this is of great help to you and please ask me any more questions you've got on your mind.

Kind regards,

What do you feel doing today would lift your mood? Something fun and simple, take small steps. This is about you getting better and recharging.

I’ve been in the same place, it’s hard and I never got better all of a sudden, just if you only have enough energy to concentration on your favourite tv or movie then so be it.
But create a schedule as stupid as it sound this will give the day structure and change of stimulation.

Mines was get up 8am

10 minutes to wake up, then get coffee.

Read or social media (fun things) for 20 minutes.

Then get showered and ready.

watch tv for an hour

make breakfast

Watch another 30 minutes of tv

Then go for one hour walk or exercise of your choice. Change it up everyday.

Work on hobbies or tasks you’ve been mean to get on for an hour or 2. Your choice.

Research what interests you in life, to build a career out of it. Nothing worse than turning up to place or job you dislike. 1 hour don’t get so deep in thing or overthink it.

Get some lunch.

Watch tv for 30 minutes.

Do some chores that will be proactive, we all have them. 30 minutes to 2 hours

Doesn’t have to be everyday talk to friends or family. Engaging with people can help as much as you probably won’t be bothered to. No time limit.

Look at planning things to do that you enjoy for future ie events, day out. Write these down. I know it won’t feel like anything at this point, something that you used to enjoy or wanted to do in the passed. 1 hour

Go for another walk for 30 minutes.

Get dinner

Watch tv, play a game, social media.

Whined down for bed.

Felt stupid to schedule out everything but it helped motivate me to do the get next thing.

Another great thing a learned was STOP any time you think about bad things that isn’t helping your mental health. Say STOP in your head count back from 5. Do it as many times as need be to put an end to negative thinking or thoughts.
I know I said about 400 times in one day But stopped thoughts from spiralling eventually your brain gets sick of being stopped. It’s hard work but I find helping even with some things to this day.

Hey there,

If you believe that your phone is a problem then start taking steps towards reducing your screen time as this will motivate you to become more productive. Set time limits on apps that are taking up your time as this will restrict your access to them and result in you being able to do something else with the time. It's great that you've joined a boxing club and gone on runs. Give it a chance and try to socialise as best you can. Building friendships takes time so try to be as patient as you can and give people an opportunity to create a bond with you.

I hope this helps, please reply to this thread if you've got any further inquiries.

With your low mood and more, it is best if you speak to your GP.

Do you have interests, hobbies?

Any aspirations?

Is there anything that would make you happy? What would you like your life to be like?

I have been speaking to my GP and my mental health advisor. I got told I got high blood pressure not sure what this means for myself but I'm scared.

I do have interests and hobbies but I'm just lazy and don't act on it and just stay in bed. I like to be more social and meet people whilst also participating in a lot of sports. I want to become active again and work on my aspirations which is to get a job in a law firm but I don't know why I have lost a lot of drive in not acting upon this. I get upset if everyone else's life is better then myself as I want my drive and motivation back for my life as I'm just miserable currently.

I just want to have a perfect routine in place whilst limiting my screentime and being disciplined. I have deleted some social media apps that distracted me and I just feel like I want to talk to some people as I just think people are against me at times. I just want my mood to be happy again and not be isolated from society.

How did you overcome this problem and how long did it take you?

What are some tips you would give?
Hey there,

I overcame this by creating a routine and trying my best to stick to it. I joined a boxing club and basically forced myself to at least go to it 4 times a week. There were definitely weeks where I got lazy but I made sure to do my best to stick to my routine and not fall back into the pattern of being lazy. I was eventually able to sustain it for 6 months but there was definitely a period where it took time to adapt. For me it took me about 6 weeks before I could properly sustain that routine and actually look forward to my daily exercise. My biggest tip is to just push yourself out of your comfort zone and try to go outside as much as possible cause when the end of the day comes you will have a feeling of accomplishment and actually doing something productive. Also try to go outside without taking your phone, even if it's just for a short walk. Practice dopamine cleanses and you'll learn to appreciate the time you spend on and off your phone. I hope this helps, please let me know if I can do anything else to help you out.
