I have applied for the Sainsbury's area support assistant role and they have asked for a interview. But the place is very far from me, so can I ask them for a closer location for the interview??

Generally a lot of big supermarkets will use a central store to conduct there interview for all the local stores rather than tiring up all the different managers at there own individual stores.

You could ask them if there's any changes you can do it more locally but they could easily tell you that if you can't make it to the selected store for the interview then you failed there process for non attendance.
