can i get braces again

ive just got my braces off and are unhappy with results. i’ve suffered with an overbite and it appears that i still have one. i’ve been wearing my retainers daily, like i’ve been asked. the lady didn’t check my bite before i got them taken off, so this isn’t my fault. from my side profile my front two teeth are slanted forwards/ flared forwards. its even built in my retainers (the shape is also on my retainers).

do you think i can get braces again under the nhs as it’s not my fault and they’ve done it wrong. or would i need to pay as it’s hopefully my 2nd round of braces??

omg dude i feel so sorry for you. i recently got my braces off, got retainers after 2 years of treatment for overbite and a surgery for crowding and stuff.
anyways, you should definitely seek another dentist because your previous dentist did you dirty. did you get rubber bands on your braces or not? those are what fixed my overbite. and for your slanted teeth they probably needed more time in braces and power chains to be made straight.
Go to a professional ortho, someone who has good reviews and get a plan for your dental treatment. It is quite possible that you might need braces, and a retainer right now is useless. Good luckk!

a bit of an overbite is natural. your top teeth are supposed to site slightly over and in front of your bottom teeth. If you're unhappy go back to your dentist or try some clear aligners (which are way better than braces) - look into Smile White, Smile Correct Club, PAYG aligners and Invisalign as some brands that look trustworthy.

that's not called overbite. yes top teeth are supposed to be slightly over your bottom teeth but that's called a normal bite. overbite is when there is a large vertical overlap
don't know if OP has an overbite or just normal bite tho
