Advice for applying to dentistry US &Europe

I have applied to some European universities as well as some US universities where I could either take an undergraduate route in the US and then apply to dentistry at the end of that course

Or I could also take up one of the options in Europe and then take the advanced program which is around 2-3 years long into the USA however I feel as though this would be the more competitive than simply applying for an undergrad course and then into dental course.

If my a levels go well then I can take a gap year and redo my ucat and reapply.

I’m not sure what the best option would be. I’m from the UK but I also have a green card, so in either case my chance of getting in would be higher than those without it.

Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you

Hey buddy, great question and you're in a very strong position to begin with

Honestly it all comes down to where you want to end up practicing

If it's UK that you want to work in as I do, then EU is your best bet, I am currently studying in Slovakia year 4 Dentistry (also from the UK)

However, if you want to go to the states, due to the nature of so many routes in, it really depends on budget and how many years of tuition you can afford

If you can afford the whole lot, then it's better to go there from the start

If not, then of course, do what you can abroad in EU, then go over and try to get placed into 1 of the uni courses after, but again, still very expensive (just fewer years) also you need to find out if the course is offering you a specialism at the end or if it allows you to practice as a general dentist

By the way if you need any help feel free to get in touch

My username is the same as my insta so you can message me here or there, but my inbox on this doesn't work which sucks

Anyway, happy to help 🙂

Hi I’m sorry for asking this but i think you can help me. I am also a uk student and want to study dentistry in the USA. What do you need to do to apply? Like is there any tests? Also is it easy to get into an American dental uni?
Thanks in advance
