Pls help - which business course to choose

I’m interested in MSc Management and international business and MSc Marketing and Management. But everyone has suggested that marketing is a huge waste of time, especially if I’m wanting to study a masters! Can anyone help guide me?

Hey there,

I think the question that you want to be asking yourself is what do you plan to do after you graduate from your master course? If you can see yourself going into marketing then obviously you should pursue an MSc in Marketing and Management however if you do want to keep your options open then I'd recommend an MSc in Management and International Business due to its broadness. Pursuing an MSc in Management and International Business will give you the choice of going into the different departments of business such as HR, Business Development, Digital Analytics and so much more!

Do let me know if you've got any more inquiries and I'll do my best to help you out!

Kind regards,

Thank you for your response! I’m considering MSc management and international business and MSc Public relations and Strategic communications. I want to work in the corporate sector, maybe as a business manager or marketing etc. I’m not sure as of now which course is for me.

Hi @Reayahxx

I believe that with choosing a certain course, I personally gear towards the general applicability of the course. I currently study international business and I have found the modules to be greatly helpful in terms of picking a general career. I originally also studied marketing but I found it to be less general. It may be best to focus on your future career prospects and how the desired role helps that.

Take care and good luck!
