I have just finished my PGCE in Primary Education with QTS. Now looking for ECT roles. Ask me any questions you have about the PGCE and I’ll be happy to answer!

Hi! For your science GCSE, did you have to have all three such as chemistry, biology and physics? Or would just one GCSE in biology for example do? Thank you

UEL, it was a great experience, I was able to use the theory taught at the uni and turn into practice during the 2 school placements. Mentors and tutors were very helpful along the way.

Hi!! I'm aware that after getting your QTS you need to do an induction period to be classified as a fully prepared teacher. How long is the Induction period after QTS?? Is it a year or two??
Thanks

The induction period is 2 years known as Early Career Teacher ECT, but it isn’t as hard as the PGCE.

Hi dear, how is the process of applying for it? That's what I plan to do after finishing my undergraduate degree. Thanks.

Congratulations on graduating and good luck on finding your next job!
I've spent some time reading through a very popular online forum and really am horrified about the stories I've read about teaching in the UK. How do you feel now you've completed your course? Was it worth the struggle?
I'm sending my applications in tomorrow. I don't really know how I feel about it!
