Aldi Group Assessment

I've been invited and just wondering what happens at this stage in the application cycle. Does anyone have any tips or advice they could share please?

Thanks!!

It varies, but most group stage assessment days will involve a number of applicants (approx 30) into the shop floor for a tour.
You'll then be split into 2 groups, one to do exercises on delivering or locating products around the store, and the other group will have some form of activity, such as constructing a tower out of paper and sellotape. - The goal of this isn't to complete or be the tallest, it's to see how you work with other people in a calm, consistent manner.
It's all about people skills, with Aldi, as it's a fast paced environment, and making sure the customer gets the products they need in as little time as possible.
My advice:
Visit your local Aldi and browse the aisles. Imagine you are working there, and think of things that you would do if you worked there. EG: bring any products you identify to the front edge of their shelves.
Ask a staff member for some assistance, and pay attention to their responses.
Use that in your interview to show you have the capabilities to be a great team member, if offered the job 🙂

Good luck!

Hey, thank you so much!

I've read quite a bit online about the group assessment. Some people say there is a maths test involved and others are saying there is a panel where everyone is interviewed at once. Is this true?

I assume you have had your group assessment? If so, was it recent?

Also could you please clarify on the following for me: EG: bring any products you identify to the front edge of their shelves.Ask a staff member for some assistance, and pay attention to their responses.Use that in your interview to show you have the capabilities to be a great team member, if offered the job

Thanks again 🙂 really appreciate it x

It varies on the assessment. Every company does it differently.

So I've had x4 for Aldi, Nandos, West Mid Safari Park and Asda. All of these took place before the pandemic.

Clarification:
You'll generally see items on the very front of shelves whenever you go shopping.
