Why is Buisness Studies and economics a bad combo in a levels?

i was thinking of choosing both along with accounting and either prob and statistics or IT. i wanted to apply to UCL school of management.

Recently im going down this rabbithole of people telling me that a buisness eco combo is bad for london universities? i was wondering if its ok if i did the subjects i listed because buisness and eco are the 2 subjects im best at and it would really suck if unis hated this combo so hopefully someone can give advice on this

It is kind of an ass combo because from what I've seen it lacks breadth. I guy I know applied to LSE with A*A*A* predicted in Maths, Economics and Business and explicity getting rejected for a lack of breadth in his a level choices.

As above. BS and Econ has too much overlap, and Accountancy and Stats is similar.
For Econ at Uni you really need to be taking Maths, and no-one needs to be taking 4 A levels.

What subjects do you recommend?

Look at the 'entry requirements' for the degree course you want to do - and not just at UCL.
