I'm wondering if anyone is aware of the different novels and texts studied at University for English Literature, I'm hoping to read a few new texts in advance to be prepared.

Best thing I can recommend is trawl through a few websites of unis you're interested in going to. Go to the Department pages of English, and find the individual modules for each year of their Eng Lit degree. Sample a couple of the modules you're interested in, and you'll usually find an indicative reading list - ie a list of texts they would typically study for the module. You'll find there's some similarity between what unis suggest you should read, but I'm always interested in texts that are not necessarily what you might expect. Doing this might also inform the choice of universities you put on your application form. I hope this maybe points you in the right direction.
