For anyone that went university in birnginahm

Looking at going to either Aston or Birmingham uni in September, was just wondering if anyone here took their car there and how was parking?

Honestly would not bother bringing your car, depends what accom your staying at but there is not much parking, and where there is parking it’s rlly expensive. Plus you will most likely not need your car in birmingham as everything is close to each other

To hell with it! Take your Aston to Aston. 😃

I know someone that's taking their car to Cardiff. She's looking to get a job on top of her full student loan to help pay for everything.
It's the "I'm going to function like a fully grown independent adult with freedom and responsibilities" attitude that I think is admirable.

She picked a hall with private parking at a nominal cost (about £2 per week). And shared toilets to save about £1000 on her rental costs.

Thanks, do you know how to find accommodation with parking?

Check out the uni website and the descriptions of their halls when making your initial request to book accommodation.
Backed up by a quick check on Google Earth to check the nature of the parking area.

Ideally you want somewhere cheap, close to your faculty and the Student Union, with secure parking, with good feedback from students that have stayed there (Google search to find feedback).
