Universal credit and student loans
Can I stay on the universal credit i ma currently receiving, and not take out a maintenance loan, only a tuition fee loan? So I’d basically be staying on UC and not applying for a maintenance loan?
If I do take out a maintenance loan, will my UC claim be closed? Or will it just be stopped during term time, and I can continue getting payments in the summer break?

I’m in the same situation at the moment and can’t find answers anywhere. My understanding is UC will make up the difference of loss of income from your student loan but it’s unclear that if you’re eligible for a maintenance loan if you will have to take it or not.
