Hi grrrrrrrrrx (!).
A very interesting theme to pursue! Are you specifically looking for dramas - or will other types of text do?
If so, my initial thoughts would go to 'Wuthering Heights' (Emily Bronte; 19th century), 'Rebecca' (Daphne du Maurier; 20th century), 'Brighton Rock' (Graham Greene; 20th century) and maybe even 'Dracula' (Bram Stoker; 19th century), for a different perspective on romance.
If you're thinking poetry, then perhaps Robert Browning is a place to start ('My Last Duchess', 'Porphyria's Lover'; 19th century) or John Keats' longer poems ('Isabella, or The Pot of Basil', 'The Eve of St Agnes'; again, 19th century).
More drama - perhaps 'Hamlet' (Shakespeare), 'The Duchess of Malfi' (John Webster; 17th century). Depends on how dark you want to go ...
I hope this helps in some way. Post again, if you want further thoughts.

A friend recommended Patterson's 'Kiss The Girls' to me a while back, which seems to fit most of those themes. I haven't read it yet, though, so I don't know how extreme those themes manifest themselves to be.
