I’ve been a nurse for 5 years now. I found some of my NHS roles extremely tough so I can empathise. So far I have stuck it out and now have a lovely job working for a health charity from home as specialist nurse and support worker. Check out Charity Job for roles. In my experience, employers in the health/ charity space really value a nursing degree for the skills and values required 🙂. If you want to move away from the clinical aspect of nursing, I really enjoyed being a school nurse for a while- office-based, educating children etc. I know this doesn’t exactly answer your question but just thought it would be useful to mention that there are loads of jobs where you’re still a nurse but it’s not particularly ‘nursey’ if that makes sense! And no extra studying required. Although I still dream of doing something different.. maybe one day! Good luck 🙂 x
