Scared about results day

I am genuinely scared for results day, this is the only thing I've been thinking about the past few days. I'm scared I've missed my offer by one grade and that I am going to get rejected. Do universities still accept you if you miss by one grade?
They can do if the spaces aren't filled by students who met the grades.
It is a hell of a wait and the best you can do is try to accept that, whatever happens, it will work out ok in the end. You just don't know what that is yet. Try to park it and find things to occupy your summer.

Try not to panic - yes, its worrying but all you will do is tie your head up in knots.
You may have done far better than you think - and yes, sometimes Unis do accept 'near-miss' applicants to fill spaces. Find yourself 'something to do'; go swimming, take up running etc - and remember, if it does all go wrong in August, you can resit and reapply. Nowhere does it say you can only go to Uni this year.

Hey there,
You're certainly not alone, results day can feel overwhelming. You might have a plan in mind and then have to look at a plan B but that's ok! It may be worth exploring your options should that scenario happen, so you know what to do and what your options are. The Student Room has some great advice on navigating clearing.

Whatever happens, you've got this!
