should we wear blazers around the school?

basically my school believe that students should wear our blazers walking around the school and you will get a detention for not wearing your blazer and that you need "permission" to take it off in lesson and that hoodies shouldn't be worn in the school.

We have to wear them in the HEAT, they are uncomfortable and they look ugly.

Uniform is rarely equitable with boys not being permitted to wear shorts where as girls where skirts. We teach equality at school yet do not demonstrate these principals through the uniform.

Uniforms have become very divisive in recent years.

My school has this rule as well and they send students home for not having their blazers. There are also a bunch of other stupid rules like no branded socks and girls can't wear white school socks (during the last few weeks of school they really cracked down on that one and bought a bunch of socks for girls to change into). Honestly, as a public school in south east london that's rated "requires improvement" by ofsted, they're doing too much. I will never understand schools that prioritise uniform over quality of education.

I don't mind wearing blazers at school, especially if they look nice. At the moment, though, it's not the attire that's on my mind. I'm actually quite focused on my dissertation and recently came across a service that could potentially be a big help. my school had weird one if it was hot we could take off out blazers ties roll up our sleeves and undo our top button but we had to wear full uniform to go home no matter how hot it was I took off my blazer and tie right after I signed out of school after my last GCSE I didn't want to represent that place for any longer than was strictly necessary.
