Chemistry Personal Statement - Quantum Mechanics?

I’m writing my personal statement for an MSci in Chemistry and I’ve touched very briefly on quantum mechanics. I’m wondering if I go into detail about it in my personal statement (how electrons behave in molecules and how it affects bonding) it’ll come off as too physicsy. I don’t know whether to add it as I can’t find a definite answer as to whether it’s physical chemistry/relevant in chemistry degree and I don’t want to come off like I don’t understand the Chemistry course.

Hi, I believe the explanation will still be physical chemistry, which is relevant in chemistry. I would add it if I were you to make my PS detailed.

You should be fine.

Quantum mechanics is covered in undergraduate chemistry. Where I study chemistry, we study it in the second term of the first year (and do more quantum in later years) and it forms a significant part of the course.
