Medicine Predicted Grades for Cambridge

So I’ve just received my predicted grades -A*A*A and I was hoping for better. I was roughly 3-6 marks off an A* predicted in chemistry and got a very high B mock grade (chem predicts 1 up), but want to apply to Cambridge which requires an A* in Chemistry usually and I feel this has barred me for entry, as everyone’s applying with three A*s and I’m just here with 2 and an A. I’ve spoken to my teachers and she said in September there will be a review but unlikely anything will happen but I do think I have a strong case for moving up to an A* - Teacher gave me an A in Autum and Summer term, but a B in the winter term.

If I dont move up, should I still apply to Cambridge? Or not worth the uni spot and move on from my dreams.

Depends - what were your GCSEs? And also hugely depends on your UCAT. If you got almost all 9s in your GCSEs and scored a UCAT of 3200+ and your ps is good then I don’t think it would significantly disadvantage you applying with A*A*A
