I dont have a sixth form to go to

Im planning on taking computing econ and maths for a level but I’ve just realised that the sixth forms I applied to either don’t do computing or won’t allow me to take it (due to have not having done it as a GCSE.) I’m not really sure what to do as my school sixth form does not do econ and is not the best. Any suggestions would be very appreciated x.

Is there a particular reason you wanted to do Computing at A level? Or those three A levels?

Have you thought ahead to what you might like to do after A levels? Is university on the cards? If so, what do you think you might like to study at university?

You say that your current school doesn't do A level Economics. Does it do A level Computing?

Yes they do A level computing but the percentage of people getting A*- B isn’t high as there are only two teachers. I want to go into software development or UX design. For university computer science is not needed however if I don’t do it I would have to take maths and further maths which is not my strong suit.

One of the reasons I was asking those questions was to ensure that you were aware that you don't need A level Computing / Computer Science to be able to study Computer Science at degree level, although many universities request Mathematics at A level - which you say you're doing anyway.

You say, "I would have to take maths and further maths". I don't believe this is the case. Although Mathematics is often a requirement, the only university I'm aware of that requires Further Mathematics too is Cambridge. Is that to where you were hoping to apply? If not, where else have you see that mandates Further Mathematics for a Computer Science degree?
