Can I scrape a 2:1 in final year?

I’m in my 3rd year studying computer science and have found it exceptionally difficult so far. I’ve achieved a low 1st maybe twice in first year, but those grades don’t count towards the final classification, only 2nd and 3rd year grades do.

Throughout 2nd and 3rd my grades have been pretty abysmal - all 40s and 50s.

I have 2 modules left (which I am currently doing) and then my Honours project.

If I was to achieve 1sts in those two modules AND at least a 2:1 in my Honours, do you think that would leave me with a 2:1 overall?

Just wondering based off people’s experiences on here, did you manage to secure a decent grade in your final year after doing kind of bad before?

Maybe. It all depends on how your uni works out your degree classification (it varies), what credits you've got at what marks, and how many credits you've still to do.

How does your uni weight second and third year when working out you overall degree classification? (They're sometimes equalled weighted, but 25:75 and 33:67 are also common).

Does your uni include all credits when working out your degree classification? (Many use the best 90 credits from each year, or the best 210 credits across both years, or similar.)

How many credits are the two remaining modules worth? And how many credits is the honours project worth?

Does "all 40s and 50s" mean you're averaging about 50 right now? Have you worked out an exact number (weighted according to the credit in each module, if the module sizes vary)?
