LLB English Law with French Law

A complicated situation. I have just finished my first year studying English Law with European Law at Queen Mary (QM London). I had originally really wanted to do LLB English Law with French Law at Kings (KCL) but I accepted the place at QM and then reapplied to KCL. So now I have an offer from KCL. It would be to restart the degree I wanted to do but from Year 1. I'm really not sure what to do and would be grateful if anyone had any thoughts: 1. Would a law degree from KCL give me a MUCH better chance of a magic circle firm than a degree from QM? 2. I know many students who have gone to France for their two years and got really low grades because its so difficult to do well there. As a result their entire grade has come down. Does this affect the degree? Thanks in advance.

Your chances of going to a top law firm will be unchanged whether you got to QMUL or KCL - what matters are your grades, extra curriculars and how you perform at assessment/ interview.
