Can I get universal credit whilst taking out a student loan if I am returning to study after illness/disability? It would be a different course at a different university, but the same subject.
I’m not entitled to still claim UC under any of the other exemptions (I have LCWRA, but I’m not in receipt of any of the other disability benefits in addition to this, that is required to meet this exemption)

Universal Credit (UC) consider Maintenance Loan as an income so this can affect your UC entitlement.

Basically does DWP find out about if you are a student taking out loans? Is it automatically flagged up to them?
