UCLAN delayed my course by 10 months and are charging me for an extra years tuition fees for it. Has this happened to anyone else?
Basically I'm doing a masters by research. I was meant to hand it in on June 2023, but the uni hadn't prepared any examiners so they refused to let me hand it in. They didn't make arrangements until April 2024.
The student handbook clearly states it is the supervisory team's responsibility to make exam arrangements. No one apologised for the delay or even acknowledged there was delay. They have just continued to send me invoices and are now threatening to close my account and not award me a degree.
I have raised multiple complaints over the past 6 months and no one has even responded. It's like the university is unable to adapt to something which is not on a script. No one has even acknowledged my complaint, they just send me invoices and threaten to close my account.
Has this happened to anyone else? It honestly feels like a mini post office scandal, the way they refuse to even talk about it.
