Starting A-levels at 18 for Medicine

hi all,

where do i begin? i completed my gcses in 2022 and attained a total of all grade 8s. since doing my gcses, i decided to take some time out of education to care for my grandmother who is severely ill. one year turned into two. here i am after 2 years, deciding that im going to pursue alevels to become a doctor. i have chosen biology, chemistry and mathematics. the only issue is, will medical schools look at me differently because of my age? i need some advice ASAP

No. Most universities would look at you differently if you retook A Levels, but since you haven't done that, you'll only be going into university as if you've just done your A Levels and took some gap years. Many people take gap years after college, so you may find some people your age when you start university.
