🏫Building Focus: Verena Holmes🏫

This series will look at some of the buildings we have here at Canterbury Christ Church University built for you, the students.

Named after Verena Holmes, who was born in Ashford, Kent, in 1889, an advocate and arguably the first female in the UK to have a full-time career as a professional mechanical engineer, she represented a breakthrough for equal rights in the early 20th century.

The building houses our new hi-tech Specialist:

🏐SportsLab, with Indoor Track, Movement Analysis Lab and Physiology lab.

🔧Engineering Facilities, Engineering workshop, Mechatronics lab, Makerspace and Mechanical Physics lab.

🏥Health Facilities, Hospital wards, Occupational Therapy Flat, Radiography Imaging Suite,
