Hi Does anyone know of work experience that relates to veterinary bioscience degree. I am interested in veterinary physiotherapy Thanks in advance Millie 😊
Any experience handling animals will help! Ask your local farm, kennel, cattery, stables, anywhere that will give you the opportunity to get hands on with animals. If you can find any vet physios in your area that would be amazing but its not necessary. I am applying for vet med and at one of my clinical work experience placements I got to shadow a vet physio a lot so maybe looking into some clinics could help
Working with animals and maybe taking on a customer facing role will help with your personal statement and any possible interviews you may have, so email, phone or go in person to any of the places mentioned above. Good luck!

Thank you. I have work experience in vets and 2 months of working with wild animals in Canada. Do you know if online courses would be of any benefit ?

That's wonderful! Online courses can be beneficial to gain more knowledge in the area you are interested in, it can give you a better idea of what areas you will enjoy the most in your studies and possibly give you more to talk about during your application. Don't worry about it too much though, I don't think it would be a major benefit, having practical experience is the priority, doing online courses is just further support on what you already have.

No, but I have done a lot of research in the application process and what admissions look for in applicants for veterinary medicine and vet bioscience degrees. This is because I am a vet med applicant and I also considered having vet bioscience as a 5th choice.
