GYG yr 10 going to yr 11

8,8, and 8 that's what I did. Just 2 hours of maths.
Did quadratics nth term
And front paper past paper questions ( I get those wrong more often) I also did some German on gizmo love gizmo, would definitely recommend. I used other people decks because I'm lazy but yh.
I'm kind of craving to do a German part paper so tomorrow I might just do all german 🤪
Also update, I found mt bonnet, it was inside my other bonnet that I wasn't using 😒
Um yeah that's it from me today, very productive and yes we pray for a tinny bit of consistency

Have you guys heard the news, they're changing the dictionary definition of the word productivity and changing it to my username!?!
That's crazy because not only did I persevere when the tough got tougher in German higher paper readingm I also completed it in my household were the name silenc tany word silence doesn't mean anything.
I ended up getting 39/60 which is decent. It'd like a 6 or 7. Which is okay however I noticed I struggled with more complex vocabulary there and stuff like that.. annoying because most of the things I got I because didn't want to get it wrong. Ik
Anyways tommorow is giving sciences revision.

I'm on Fire.
I nearly cried. Then did a backflip then threw up. Today I did a tiny bit of maths then started on biology resuming the paper from the other day. Didn't even do flashcards this time I was js like fck it let's gooo so 🤷🏾*♀️🤷🏾*♀️ I just did it and I told myself I was gonna attempt every damn question , ghat I did. I had 1hr and 10 left and I completed the rest of the exam.
Only I had realised when marking I had skipped out a few easy questions for js not reading the full page or missing the question.
Other ones I wasn't sure of I still got marks for just stating things I could remember about it and revolving my answer around that. Literally taking 1 idea and running with it 1/4 marks.
Also I lost marks for not applying this strategy to every question. I skipped a 5 marker for not understanding every point I was going to make instead of mentioning and assuming the points I knew.
On my last mock I got 46/100 (g6) I can now proudly say I got 56/100. Which ik it's not much but 10 marks can be worth so much more it actually got me to a grade 7 which is what I'm aiming for in all sciences as I don't really need them.
I actually feel so motivated and relieved like all ym hard work is paying off😆😆
Tmmrw we go again but with computer science or maths past paper 👏🏾👏🏾

OMDS I CANT BELIEVE IT,A THEY ADDRD ANOTHER Little mrs to the little mrs/mr men series little miss procrastination. .
The role was actually assigned to me as I have done nish. Well I got all my hw done. Chem, biology Germany, kinda history and maths. Then I did a few maths questions. Same with today icl I'm just tired.
Have my first open day tmmrw. IM SOOO NERVOUS. it's gonna be motivation though also I get my mock timetable on Monday so I can twist my revision based off that. And erm yeah that's it. Kinda nervous kinda not. Willing to put thr work in but to what extent.

Open day: went to maths I loved it they seemed so supportive and they tailor your learning based on your grades and the pace you are comfortable working at. Buisness I loved talking to the women about it there it was very nice. Then all of a sudden I hear. " we don't do IT anymore" (the website clearly states they did) haha. Okay it's fine right. I'm looking around. Groups of girls are just doing tiktok dances in the middle of the yard. On an open day? Have some decorum pls. I go to a few other classrooms. Art. Graphic design (checking for a friend) the room was so big and they seems so passionate about the art. I even went to science the rooms are so big. Even tho the classroom sizes aren't more than 24. (Idk if that's big but my high skl has like 32). I go to computer science. Nobody's there. Hm maybe we got the wrong place. No there's no other computer science. Some guy with a lanyard walks down the hall "are you hear for the computer science talk" no shet sherlock I judt wanted to stare at the computers to see if I wanna do a level cs. The classroom is a lot smaller compared to others there is no leaflet for me to take. I'm like alr noted. He starts talking ab cs mentioned maths maths maths and how many people that do cs do mayhs a level it's recommended. He then proceeds to mention coursework. 20% of my grade? Thr computer science A Level contains coursework. I'm like hmm okay maybe they combined cs and IT. He begins to mention the content we do, half of it is what I do at gcse now, half if Databases and networking stuff. And a tiny but of programming. Blah blah blah. Any questions. I go "you don't offer IT anymore but is Computer science content and IT content being pushed together or being made the same or something liek are we doing both courses in 1. " he goes. "Well idk but if your so interested in tech and IT there's another college down the road called ----- If your so sure on what you want to do maybe try doing a vocational or something more hands on" after that I was like ik he did not js deflect my question. My crew let's go. So I packed my bags and went on my jolly way. Out of the 6. I must be desperate as fck to want to go here definitely the bottom of my pyramid.
HOWEVER, this led to motivation in maths bc I wanna do well and I need atleast a 6 praying for better things next open day on Tuesday and uh I actually did a predicted paper online paper 1 and got 43/80 last one I did I think I got 34/80 so wow. I'm js so glad and I owe majority of it to this gyg

May aswell join a cooking competition because the way I've been cooking in maths, yes. I did another past paper today. Woooo. It was non calculator. 👀 (wtf is wrong with you) twice in a row. Yes. Untimed. Yes. But did I COOOK OR DID I COOOOK. I started the gyg extremely unconfident in maths, all I knew is that I needed atleast a 6 to do a level maths. Which is something I really want to do. As much as I try to pretend I actually love maths and problem solving (☝🏾🤓) when I received that 5. Humble with a capital H. Couldn't even describe how i felt. I was discouraged. I passed of course but I walked into yr 10 thinking that 7s was the minimum I wanted in all gcses and then put in minimum effort.
Here I am. Doing a past paper 2023 getting 54/80. A grade 7. 3 marks of an 8. WOW. The feeling is felt. It feels so wow like I feel so good and confident.
1 down 2 more papers to go.
2/9 subjects tackled.
Next up: I get my mock timetable tmmrw and I will see which subject I need to fight next
