I need help with my choices of a levels

So originally I had submitted the subjects:
Fine art
Fashion and textiles
Film studies
But now I’m not too sure if I want to do film studies that much anymore and replace it with classics or English. The main reason I went with film is that I would either like to be a writer or work on set making the costumes for films. However the course seems to be more on the director side of things and not the behind the scenes.
And is the two creative subjects too much and should I just do one? E.g:
Fashion
Classics
Film studies or a diff option

I don't think I would be qualified to comment on your subjects, since I didn't do them. However, I have to remark on the following:

The main reason I went with film is that I would either like to be a writer or work on set making the costumes for films.
I hate to break it to you, but you don't need any qualifications to do either jobs. Your A Level options can be in any of the subjects you chose, and it still won't affect your prospects to go into writing or making costumes.

If you want to do a degree in costume design, then you normally need 2-3 A Levels in any subjects (alternative qualifications are possible, but for A Levels they don't specify any specific subject). In other words, you can do subjects such as French, Physics, and Maths, and still get in with the right grades. Some degree courses that I have come across do ask for a portfolio, so it's best to check the individual course requirements.

For English Lit degrees (the default degree most writers take up, even though you can write with a degree in any subject or have no degree at all), the pickiest English degrees would ask for English Lit as a required subject (the other 2 subjects can be in anything, but the more academic institutions would likely be looking for academic subjects more than the vocational).

The better choice in my opinion would be Fine art, Classics, and English Lit. If you want to swap anything, I would swap Fashion for English Lit.
However. that would all depend on what you want to do with the A Levels afterwards. Do you want to go straight into the role or do you intend to go to uni? If you want to do a degree, which subject do you want to do it in and where?

Yes, having a straightforward essay subject would be a good investment - English or Classics, whichever you think you would enjoy the most - this would give you far more options than just taking 3 creative subjects.
