A short while ago I started dating this girl for a few weeks and whilst we had a great time we decided it wasn’t to be in terms of a relationship. However, as we both enjoyed each other’s company and wanted to continue to get to know one another we mutually agreed to become friends.
For the next month or so we remained in contact, speaking on a weekly basis. A good friendship was developing and I was honestly glad to have become friends with her. However, as time went on my feelings for her started to grow and I began to see her more than just a friend. As she was on my mind a lot and I didn’t want to be dishonest I decided to open up and tell her my feelings. It’s now been a month and I haven’t heard anything from her since. Last week I messaged her to apologise and wished her well if I don’t hear from her again, but still silence.
I feel like I did the right thing, but I partly do regret it as I probably won’t hear from her again. Do you think it was the right thing to do? Also what's the likelihood she will get back in contact?
