any other lgbt people studying at edge hill starting september 2024?

I know I will find people when I'm there but I'm not sure what the lgbt presence is like there.

Hey @verynormalgay,

I don't know too much on this other than there being a society known as the Edge Hill Queers with their Instagram being @edgehillqueers.

I would also maybe recommend joining the Official Edge Hill group on Facebook which is called OFFICIAL Edge Hill Freshers 2024-2025. This could be a great way to meet others who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and also any course mates. There is also one for if you are living in halls which is called EHU Residents Group 2024/25.

Hi !

I wanted to add onto our other student advisor, Rebecca’s, response! As she mentioned, there is an LGBT society which many of my friends attend and I know has a good amount of active members.

A massive highlight for my time at Edge Hill has been the ‘Queer Prom’ hosted by our lgbt officer. This was a brilliant night for lgbt students and allies to have a safe and comfortable space to celebrate and have a prom. You can find photos from this night on the Student’s Union’s social media pages if you’d like to see.
