Salford Uni - can non-music students hire/ use practice rooms?
I will be joining Salford Uni in September to do a non-music related course, however practice a lot of music in my spare time. I would like to keep this up at uni but I don’t want to disturb any flatmates. I’ve seen that the uni has practice rooms but I’m unsure as to whether these are solely for the use of students actually studying music - if anyone has any more info that would be great TIA

Firstly, congratulations on getting an offer to study at our institution, we are all excited for you.
To answer your question, I would say that it might be possible to use the practice rooms even if you are not a music student, but that'll be at the discretion of our music tech teams and the availability of the space around teaching.
I would recommend speaking to our course enquiries team as they may be able to ask the music technicians themselves.
To email our course enquiries teams it would be [email protected] they take up to five days to respond to any email.
You can also give them a call on 0161 295 4545 between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday - Friday.
