My Academic Comeback Summer GYG

Hello  I am in y12 wanting to do medicine and I have created this gyg to hold myself accountable. What I need to do this summer:

- UCAT revision (Booked for 24 Aug)
- Revision of y12 content/ revision for resits
- Work experience ( got a placement ready, starting this Tuesday iA)
- Volunteering ( already started but need to get 80hrs done in the summer -ahhh wish me luck)
-Write my personal statement

Please if you get a chance drop a hello below, hold me accountable if I am not posting/doing any revision to motivate me. Also if you are also on this journey lmk. Its nice to know that I’m not the only one🫶🏼

I haven’t started any revision ☹️ which is why I created this post. I am feeling so down and overwhelmed rn but I need to get back on track.

I wasn't lying when i said i was a PROFFESSIONAL procastinator ahhhh. Will iA start the grind on monday!! (even though i'm gonna be on holiday in Amsterdam ) By Monday i should have posted a plan for the summer mapping out my a-level revision. Then i am going to create another plan for my UCAT revision (any templates/tips on how to start revision pls lmk) so if i haven't uploaded an update on monday, hold me accountable!!

I also did the medical WEX on tuesday ( shadowing a consultant on a geriatric ward ) and icl i don't know why but i feel as if its pushed me away from medicine. Like at first i was so excited but throughout the day i started getting doubts. For reference I have been saying i want to become a doctor for longer than i can remember and still to this day I have a passion to treat people and make people's quality of life better - that has always been the dream. However it just seems like it takes you abt 20 years before you're in a comfortable stable position as a doctor with a good work-life balance. I'm wondering whether doing dentistry would be a better career option? I am so confused right now.

I don't know if i can organise some face-to-face work experience but i'll try and look for some online experience. If you have any recommendations let me know. Thanks
