(GYG) yr10 going into yr11

Hii,
I’m super nervous about yr11 hence why I’m making a post at 2 am. I’m wondering where to start with my summer revision and how much I should be doing a day if I’m aiming for all 9s. I’m also revising for the 16+/ sixth form entrance exams so any tips on that would be much appreciated. Here are the grades I got in my yr10 mocks, I know they’re rubbish:
Maths - 6
Physics - 7
Biology - 8
Chemistry - 6
History - 8
English lit - 8
English lang - 9
Rs - 8
French - 6
How can I improve?

Welcome to GYG!!

Your mock results are definitely not rubbish! They’re actually pretty great considering it’s just Y10 mocks.

I’ve just finished my GCSEs and waiting for results that will come out at Aug 22 (hoping the majority will be 9s…).

It’s best to start revision early - but remember to not overwork yourself as you could get burnt out by the time exam season comes. Also, enjoy your summer as these next few summers will be the only times you’ll feel the most free you’ve ever been (especially the summer after GCSEs!!)

Sixth form entrance exams doesn’t require any revision as you can’t predict what will come up.

However, depending on each school there will be different tests - so it’s best to look up the school you’re hoping to apply for and see if they have any practice papers/tests.

I’ll answer any questions if you want!!

I don't think they're that bad honestly you received a few 8s and a 9 that's something to praise yourself about obviously you can't be expected to get everything correct right now at the end of year 10 but do you think there's anything in particular you struggled with that you think is stopping you from getting more marks? Is so work on those things

Otherwise, I'd say just say past papers or getting used to that style of question

I am also going to year 11 and aiming for higher on my next mocks and use many websites to help me revise such as cognito, save my exams, revision world, maths genie and others stuff

Hope this helps!!
