Is LAET overrated? Also thoughts on brampton

I wanted to go to LAET but I heard it isn't that great and is overrated. I've decided to move it to my second choice and put brampton college as my first. So my college choice is brampton,LAET,APS,STM. Currently in year 10 going into year11😊.

i’m also yr10 wanting to go to LAET, i’ve heard that it’s a good skl and there are a lot of supportive teachers

Hopefully it's as good as they claim bit ill also make sure to go to open evenings

You can also try Lae Stratford is the sister school of Laet. But when I went to the open day the school seems really good.

Since you haven’t started Y11 you have an abundance of time to make a decision, be sure to ask questions at open day and at your interview. Focus on smashing you GCSES.Also a school can only do so much, so do not worry they’re all high attaining schools

Also I had no idea there were interviews, what exactly happens there?

the interviews are after you apply for the school, usually around march time or feb time they happen. They ask you to bring one item which is close to you and basically just talk about it. Then they’ll ask you a few questions.However treat this more like a conversation and make sure to talk with confidence. All in all don’t stress there’s not too much weight on them anyways.

I go LAET and I'd say only Brampton is fair competiton on that list but between highly- performing schools like these if you are academically rigorous enough you will come out with A/A* in any of them
