BCU recommended term

Hi,
I have BCU as my insurance choice for Uni's. I was wondering what contract length would be best for the first years because I checked on the website and they say the 3rd semester goes on till 15 Aug and then there is the assessment week till 29 Aug.
am just so confused

Hi @rmaddison99

I can understand your confusion, so don't worry. The majority of courses at BCU will actually finish around May-July, with some finishing later and some earlier. The additional semester does apply to some courses, but not all of them.

If you're applying to student accommodation, I woudl suggest booking somewhere with a tenancy of 41 weeks - 45 weeks. 45 weeks will take you to about mid July usually, and I have found the past two years I've finished my course by June so I've had a few extra weeks in my accommodation. You could always book for fewer weeks and can extend your contract where necessary if your accommodation offers this option.

If you're wanting to stay longer, 51/52 week contracts cover a whole year, and will take you into August. If you're still unsure about which to book, you could email the accommodation team for some more help here [email protected]

I hope this helps. 🙂
